Our client had one heartfelt request: to move her sink under the window so she could enjoy the peaceful view of the park while washing dishes. This small yet impactful change led to a full kitchen transformation, and the results are stunning!
The Challenge
To relocate the sink to its new home under the window, we needed to make several structural and functional adjustments. Here’s how we tackled it:

Island and Sink Cabinetry Swap

The island cabinetry and the cabinets under the sink traded places to accommodate the sink’s new location. This required moving the island closer to the perimeter cabinets for better flow and functionality.

Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC Adjustments

New plumbing and electrical installations were essential for the sink’s relocation.

The cold air return was relocated to ensure the kitchen’s efficiency and comfort weren’t compromised.

The Enhancements
To elevate the overall design, we incorporated several updates that added style and functionality:

Cabinetry Adjustments:

The cabinet above the fridge was shortened by three inches to fit the newly purchased appliances.

A new pantry and curio cabinet were added, creating additional storage and a touch of elegance.

The hood fan was replaced with an over-the-stove microwave, streamlining the space and modernizing the look.

Cabinet Refresh:

The perimeter oak cabinetry received a refresh with a new coat of finish and the addition of brushed gold pulls for a sleek and contemporary feel.
